Miami Dolphins just completed their OTAs and minicamp, which means that players have a chance to spend time with their family before the season kicks off. International Father’s Day was celebrated on June 18th and Tyreek Hill made an NSFW tweet that didn’t seem as amusing to fans as it did to him.
Hill innocently asked, “What is a dilf? All these people texting me some wild stuff.” Those who don’t know what the abbreviation means please Google that one because you won’t find what it means here. The 29-year-old Dolphins wide receiver has a seven-year-old son with his ex-girlfriend Crystal Espinal. However, Hill hasn’t been an ideal father as he has been accused of domestic violence and also allegedly breaking his son’s arm.
Tyreek Hill is coming off his career-best season. In his first year with the Dolphins, the star wide receiver garnered 1,710 receiving yards and 7 touchdowns on 119 receptions. Now, Hill is looking to cross the 2000 yards threshold in the 2023 season and is training hard to achieve that.
Tyreek Hill’s past filled with domestic violence and child abuse charges
Back in when Tyreek Hill played college football at Oklahoma State, he was arrested for insulating his pregnant girlfriend Crystal Espinal. As per reports, Hill “threw her around like a ragdoll”, punched her in her stomach, and even tried to choke her to death. He was let go from Oklahoma State’s football program and placed on a three-year probation.
Then, in 2019, Hill was again accused by Espinal of breaking their son’s arm. Police as well as NFL investigated the matter and, due to lack of evidence, the wide receiver was exempted from all the charges.
Tyreek Hill, making a ‘dad joke’ on Father’s Day, didn’t sit right with the fans. They reminded him of his past and how ‘effective’ he has been as a father and boyfriend. Here are a few reactions from the fans.
The AFC East division just got a little tough as the Jets acquired 4x NFL MVP Aaron Rodgers. Tyreek Hill wants to make it back to the Super Bowl and believes that the team is competent enough to do so. However, with the Jets and the Bills, it’ll be a herculean task for the Dolphins to make it all the way, even with a receiver like Hill.
