Ty Johnson, free agent running back, recently revealed an unfortunate incident that led him to be cut from his former team, New York Jets. Injuries are an important part of a player’s career and can often determine his future in the league.
There have been many players who have lost out on championships and titles due to severe injuries. Johnson recently exposed such misfortune that happened to him while incurring a torn pec injury.
Johnson recently opened up about his injury and how it led to him being without a team. The 25-year-old RB was a fourth-choice RB for the New York Jets who was removed from his team. The former RB was heartbroken after the incident and explained it all recently.
The former Jets RB suffered a torn pec injury while working out and after meeting the team doctors, they advised him to get surgery. Sadly, when he came back from the surgery, he was cut off from the team permanently.
“I’ve had some dark, dark days, man,” Ty Johnson stated n a recent interview. “Told them [about the injury]. I told them even before this, I was like: ‘hey, was working out, [the torn pectoral] happened’ — saw the team doctor, he was like — ‘you need to get it fixed.’ Flew out the next day [to get surgery]. Came back happy that I got it done, even though I didn’t want to get it done. That following Wednesday, you’re outta there!”
Social media was enraged after Ty Johnson’s statement and quickly called out the Jets for their merciless treatment of their players. The Jets are currently doing great after signing Aaron Rodgers from the Green Bay Packers. However, this recent controversy can get them in trouble.

Jets roasted on social media for their ‘unjust’ treatment of Ty Johnson
Johnson’s incident has made all the people aware of the ugly business of the NFL. The Jets are prime example of cutting their losses before the season starts.
The people on social media were furious and demanded that Johnson be signed by another team quickly. Although, there were also some who believe that the Jets weren’t wrong in their treatment of Johnson and they even paid for his surgery before cutting him off.
Ty Johnson is still recovering from his injury after the unfortunate incident. Many people on social media hope that the RB will get recruited team as soon as he is healthy and fit.
