The Dallas Cowboys put their belief in HC Mike McCarthy, who was a highly experienced coach when they were up against the Green Bay Packers at Lambeau Field. The Cowboys were the clear favorites to win the game and dominated throughout, but in the 4th quarter, the game completely turned around.
The Cowboys had a long-standing record of never losing a game when leading in the 4th quarter. So unsurprisingly, Mike McCarthy became the only coach to lose after leading in the 4th quarter as the Packers made an incredible comeback and pushed the game into OT.
As the Packers had momentum on their hand, it was fairly easy for them to win the game in OT. McCarthy was furious after the game ended and smashed his headset on the ground in clear frustration.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was disappointed after the loss and said that the team didn’t take their chances. “No,” Jerry Jones stated. “I thought Mike had our team well-prepared. We knew the circumstances up here at Lambeau Field. We just didn’t choke it to death when we had it. Then we had another chance in overtime. That’s when you respond right there and put something in your repertoire.”
The Cowboys were defeated by a team who had lost 5 games in a row and their star man Aaron Rodgers was having an abysmal season. Their loss can be brought down to silly mistakes and a lack of passion. The Packers were fighting for their life while the Cowboys were just fighting for another win.
McCarthy was the former Packers coach and his return against his former team was unsatisfactory as the HC was left astounded and furious, resulting in him becoming a meme on the internet.

Mike McCarthy couldn’t control his anger and decided to take it out on the headset. This has happened many times in the NFL where people throw tablets, break headsets, or just go on a swearing rampage, and after this comes the trolling from social media.
NFL Twitter had a field day when Mike McCarthy lost to the Packers and decided to roast the Cowboys’ HC terribly. His headset-smashing video went viral quickly and people came up with amazing memes and reactions.
Some people also pointed out that the former Packers HC was still rooting for Aaron Rodgers and the team and that was the reason the Cowboys lost the game.
The Dallas Cowboys will need to regroup and recuperate after suffering a terrible loss to an out-of-form opponent. They face the Vikings in their next game and will look to grab the wins again after this humiliation.
