The Dallas Cowboys handed the Minnesota Vikings an embarrassing 40-3 loss on Sunday at the US Bank Stadium. This was the Vikings’ second defeat of the season as they are now 8-2 and are the leaders of the NFC North. With this win at 7-3, the Cowboys are two games behind the 9-1 Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.
This was after years that the Cowboys had such an astounding victory. In 1995, they defeated the Giants 35-0 in the season opener and since then, this victory is the biggest in terms of margin. In 1971, the Cowboys beat the Eagles 42-7 in Philadelphia and went on to win the Super Bowl.
This 37-point victory by the Cowboys will now convince everyone that they are serious contenders for the season. The Vikings came into the match with seven wins in a row and tied for the best record in the league. No one expected the Cowboys to humiliate the Vikings and now, they’re just two games behind the Eagles in the NFC.
Twitter slams the Vikings for their poor display against the Cowboys

The Cowboys fans didn’t take much time to take a dig at the Vikings after their humiliating performance. They took to social media to make fun of the Vikings and claimed that they were never a Super Bowl-winning team. The Vikings fans too were very upset by their team’s poor show on home soil. To put light on how bad things were, the Vikings didn’t score a single point in the last three quarters.
The Cowboys will now play three consecutive home games against the Giants, the Colts, and the Texans before taking on the Jaguars. They will then face the Eagles in a much-anticipated clash on Christmas Eve.
