Dan Snyder has finally succumbed to the pressure and has decided to sell the Commanders once and for all. At least that’s what the reports suggest. Snyder has reportedly hired Bank of America Securities for the possible sale of the team and also put out a statement on Twitter regarding the same.

“The Snyders remain committed to the team, all of its employees and its countless fans to putting the best product on the field and continuing the work to set the gold standard for workplaces in the NFL,” the statement said.

The statement was cryptic and didn’t answer the question if the owners are going to sell the team or not, but with increasing pressure from the NFL, and Dan Snyder also being investigated by Congress, he may be forced by their hands and will probably sell the team that is valued at a massive $5.6 billion.

Dan Snyder was accused of sexual harassment of his female employees in the workplace and many NFL teams have rallied against the Commander’s owner to force his hand to sell the team.

The Commanders have had their name changed before since Snyder took over, as the previous name was considered being offensive and racist, therefore it was changed to the Commanders.

The Commanders’ fans are fed up with Dan Snyder as the team had been performing worse since he took over the team. The team currently sits at the 4th spot in the NFC East division.

Many fans also wanted to change the team’s name as ‘Commanders’ was too outdated and their opinion didn’t suit them. Discussions started on Twitter and many people suggested outrageous names like ‘Hogs’ and ‘Pigs’.
