Lately, the Las Vegas Raiders have made quite some huge changes in its management, as firing head coach Josh McDaniels and general manager Dave Ziegler. Another major change that the Raiders have made is naming rookie Aidan O’Connell as the starting quarterback and benching Jimmy Garoppolo for the season. Seeing everything, it looks like Raiders fans are not that thrilled.

It’s a common practice in the NFL for teams to wish or congratulate their players on social media. Just like how the Raiders did on the 32nd birthday of quarterback Garoppolo. But the fans found that odd as it happened just hours later of benching Garoppolo due to his bad form this season.

Over the whole social media, Raiders are being called out and trolled for wishing Garoppolo birthday wishes, as they chose a rookie over him as starting quarterback. Also, they just fired their head coach and GM, so this might not be the right time to celebrate.

During the game against the Detroit Lions, quarterback Garoppolo’s performance was off as he missed receivers and couldn’t lead the offense. Before that, they lost to the Chicago Bears at an embarrassing 30-12. As a result, the Raiders now stand at 3-5, moving forward with O’Connell as the starting QB. Earlier this year in March, Garoppolo signed a three-year contract with the Raiders worth $72.5 million, and now he would just stand on the sidelines. With everything going around, the whole team Raiders wished Garoppolo, that does seem nice, but fans think otherwise.

Then a few hours later, they wished the quarterback a birthday like nothing happened, which appeared inconceivable to the fans. Raiders fans are known for being on a roller coaster ride on social media, and their troll of the team is just the perfect example of it.

As the Raiders wished Garoppolo a happy birthday, the post was instantly viewed by over six million viewers. While most of them mainly made fun of the whole situation with the QB being benched and wished by the team, others questioned the Raiders’ decisions. One fan even compared Garoppolo’s current situation to Woody being dumped by Andy in the Toy Story movie. Many fans called out the Raiders for trolling their own quarterback on his birthday.
