The 2022 NFL draft is here and fans just can’t keep calm. Innumerable players give absolutely everything to get ready for the big stage so that they can be roped into one of the NFL franchises.

The stakes are high, millions of dollars and the future of several players are at stake so evidently, there is a lot of chatter involved. The first overall pick of the day went to the Jacksonville Jaguars and they opted for the 2021 CFP National Champion Travon Walker.

NFL fans stay glued to their screens while the action unfolds at the draft. We see a flurry of emotions pouring out from players and others involved in the process. The NFL draft is truly a global event and this time around, the stage has been utilized to bring everyone’s attention to the Russia-Ukraine war.

During the event, a Ukrainian woman named Jenny Arata who is collecting funds to help out children in her home country was asked to come on stage. During her speech, the woman informed everyone about what’s happing in Ukraine and thanked America for its support.

Apparently, this did not go down well with a lot of fans. “You can’t even watch an NFL game without seeing pro-Ukrainian propaganda. I thought Americans hated when politics and sports intertwined,” a user wrote. Meanwhile, another one claimed that the NFL hates mixing politics in sports only when Black people are at the center of it.
