On Sunday, the Buffalo Bills, led by their franchise quarterback Josh Allen, went against the AFC West champions, the Kansas City Chiefs in their divisional-round matchup. The exciting matchup ended in heartbreak for the Bills fans after their kicker, Tyler Bass missed a game-tying field goal.

During the final minutes of the game, Josh Allen led Buffalo’s offense down the field and they were knocking on the doors of the endzone. With just under 2 minutes left in regulation time, the Bills were looking to erase a 3-point deficit and were facing a crucial 3rd down and 9 from the Chiefs’ 26-yard line.

Allen failed to convert the third down, leading to the Bills attempting a field goal to tie the game with more than a minute left in the game clock. However, their star kicker Tyler Bass shockingly missed the 44-yard field goal attempt to the wide right in front of thousands of Bills fans at the Highmark Stadium.

The Bills’ head coach Sean McDermott had a blunt reaction to the missed field goal. Check out the footage of the missed kick attached below.

Following the failed FG attempt, the Chiefs took over possession of the ball and were able to run out the clock and seal a victory in the close game. With that victory, the Chiefs qualified for the AFC Championship game for the sixth consecutive year. But this time they won’t be hosting the game.

As for the Buffalo-based football team, their quarterback Josh Allen had a good game as he registered 258 total yards and 3 total touchdowns. But he could not orchestrate a game-winning drive against the Chiefs’ defense and folded under the pressure. With that, the 4-time consecutive AFC East champions once again have an early exit from the playoffs.

NFL fans on social media went into brutal mode to roast the Bills kicker Tyler Bass for missing a 44-yard field goal attempt, which would’ve tied their playoff game against the Chiefs.

Just 8 months after the Bills signed Tyler Bass to a 4-year extension worth $20.4 million, Buffalo fans are calling for their organization to fire the kicker. Check out some of the reactions attached below.

Nonetheless, as a result of the divisional round game, the Chiefs advanced to the conference championship game, where they will face the Baltimore Ravens for the right to represent the AFC in the Super Bowl. On the other hand, the Bills are back to the drawing board following another underwhelming campaign.
