Star quarterback Tua Tagovailoa and the Miami Dolphins successfully defeated their AFC East division rivals, New England Patriots, in their week 2 game on Sunday. The Dolphins’ star wide receiver Tyreek Hill had a quiet night on the field for his standards, but after the game, he further damaged his relationship with the Patriots fans by calling them the worst fanbase in the NFL.
During the post-game press conference, the All-Pro pass catcher Tyreek Hill was asked how he felt waving goodbye to the New England home crowd after defeating them 24-17. Hill did not hold back on how he felt about dissing the Pats Nation.
“It felt tremendous, man,” Hill told the reporters in a locker room interview after the game. “Those fans are some of the worst fans in the NFL. And I’m going to stand on that; they are real nasty. Some of the things they were saying, I wouldn’t say in church. So yeah, it felt great to wave goodbye to the fans, and I’ll do it again. Bye.”
Hill has had a bad experience with the New England crowd in the past. In 2018, when the speedy wide receiver was still a member of the Kansas City Chiefs, a Patriots fan was charged with disorderly conduct after he threw beer on the then-Chiefs receiver. The Patriots fan was banned from future events at the Gillette Stadium. It seems like Hill still hasn’t forgotten about that bitter experience.

Tyreek Hill had a quiet night against the Patriots on Sunday
The Dolphins receiver Tyreek Hill started the season with the aim of breaking the league’s single-season receiving yards record. He started the season with a bang by registering 215 receiving yards and 2 touchdowns against Los Angeles Chargers in Miami’s week 1 game.
However, on Sunday, against the Patriots, Hill had a quiet night for his standards as he caught 5 passes for 40 yards and 1 touchdown. Nonetheless, the Dolphins still took home a victory against their division rivals.
Hill would continue on his journey to break the single-season receiving yards record. But he will be more focused on helping his team win the Super Bowl in the ongoing season.
The Dolphins and Tyreek Hill would now be focused on the Denver Broncos, who they are scheduled to face next weekend in their week 3 matchup. The Broncos have Patrick Surtain II, one of the best NFL cornerbacks in their squad and it would be interesting to see the matchup between Surtain and Hill next Sunday.
