The wide receiver of the Miami Dolphins Tyreek Hill opened up regarding the sacking of Vic Fangio, their defensive coordinator following their poor defensive performance throughout the league. Fangio was named as the DC of the Philadelphia Eagles.

In one of the episodes of his podcast, Hill said that he had respected Fangio a lot. The WR also added that his move towards the Eagles was not a surprise. He guessed the move.

The Eagles tried to lure the DC earlier. Ahead of the 2023-24 season, he was the prime target of the Eagles to fix their defensive problems. Vic Fangio stayed with the Dolphins, however, the team did not adjust to his defensive style. They suffered against all the big teams. It started with the Bills earlier and the struggle continued throughout the seasons. The Dolphins won only a single game against a team that had a winning streak and that also came at the dying seconds of the game.

The Miami Dolphins’ struggle continued in the playoffs as they had an early exit. Against the Kansas City Chiefs, they had defensive problems as they gave away 26 points and just managed seven. Along with the defensive inabilities, they also had offensive problems to attend to.

Some major changes await Miami Dolphins squad

After the failure in the 2023-24 season, some major changes might take place in the Miami Dolphins squad. Tua Tagovailoa may be subjected to a cut-off. However, the team has not announced anything until now.

Like Tyreek Hill, Tua Tagovailoa also had a great start. His first game was a remarkable one as he covered more than 450 yards. Nonetheless, with each game passing, the quarterback started losing his form. Towards the end, the frequency of interceptions he was receiving continued rising.

Following the performance of the quarterback analysts had fierce criticism against him. Things went so far that Tagovailoa even said that he was the worst footballer ever to play in the league.
