The Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill and the former Cincinnati Bengals cornerback Eli Apple shared a public feud just a few months back on social media. But the talented pass catcher and the cornerback both claim that there is no beef between them now that they have become teammates in Miami.
Tyreek Hill recently sat down with CBS Sports‘ Pete Prisco for an interview during the Dolphins training camp. In the interview, he made it clear that there are no hard feelings between him and Miami’s new signing Eli Apple.
“Eli, we have no beef at all,” said Hill. “I believe in our head coach and GM. They actually were shocked when they called me, they was like ‘Hey, Reeke, about to sign a guy, you may not like’. I’m like, ‘ well, who?’ They was like ‘Eli Apple.’ I’m like, ‘Eli? I mean I love the guy, bring him on in.”
The All-Pro receiver went on to say that it is great that his team is adding more “feisty competition” before affirming once again that there’s no beef between him and Apple. “Any way to make this team better, I’m all for it and there’s NO BEEF between me and Eli Apple.”
Hill and Apple first engaged in a war of words after the Kansas City Chiefs lost to the Bengals in the 2022 AFC Championship game. The then-Bengals cornerback Apple chirped at Hill on social media after advancing to the Super Bowl. Furthermore, when Apple gave up a game-winning touchdown in the Super Bowl game against the Los Angeles Rams, Hill shared some celebratory tweets.
The beef between Tyreek Hill and Eli Apple
Most recently, Hill revived the rivalry back when the Dolphins faced the Bengals in the 2022 regular season. Before the game, he called out Apple during an interview saying, “I can’t wait to go against Eli Apple, man, I owe you boy, I owe you. I’m here. The cheetah is here.”
But now the beef between them is in the past. Just a few days ago, the Dolphins signed Eli Apple to a one-year deal after their star cornerback Jalen Ramsey got injured in the training camp.
Ramsey is reportedly set to miss a few weeks of the 2023 regular season and they added Apple to get some depth in that position. After signing with the Miami-based football team, Apple also assured that beef between him and Hill is in the past and it’s all love now between both players.
Nonetheless, both Hill and Apple are now teammates and would have only one goal in their minds. To win the Super Bowl with the Dolphins. They will begin their 2023 campaign with a pre-season game against the Atlanta Falcons next weekend.
