Tyreek Hill only played 33 snaps against the Tennessee Titans on Monday night. The Miami Dolphins wide receiver had to go off injured in the first quarter.

Hill was tackled out of bounds by a Titans defender, following a catch from quarterback Tua Tagovailoa‘s pass. He stayed down and appeared to be withering in pain before leaving the field. He initially walked across from the Tennessee dugout to the Dolphins dugout, even running the last 10 yards while the Hard Rock crowd chanted MVP.

Miami struggled quite a lot without the NFL receiving yards leaders for 2023. The Titans outgained the South Beach team by 403 yards to 366 yards. They were trailing Mike Vrabel‘s team by 3 points and appeared to be holding on until Dolphins running back Raheem Mostert scored two rushing touchdowns in quick succession, taking a 14-point lead.

However, touchdowns from DeAndre Hopkins and Derrick Henry tipped the tie in Tennessee’s favor. Quarterback Will Levis secured his first-ever 300-yard passing game. Vrabel’s team became the first team since the Houston Texans in 2016 to win from a 14-point deficit in the last 3 minutes. That is 765 NFL games.

Even though Tyreek Hill rejoined the game, he made little to no contribution in the final segments of the game. The 29-year-old accepted the defeat and later wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

We been here before , Great job to Coach Vrabel and the Titans.

Tyreek Hill revealed why he went back into the game despite being injured

The cheetah fears no one. He has gone toe to toe with the best of the best, but even the Super Bowl winner bends to the wishes of his better half. Keeta Vaccaro, whom Tyreek Hill recently got hitched with, texted him to get his “as*” back in the game.

Despite going through pain, the seven-time Pro Bowler returned to the game. Hill finished with just four catches and 61 yards.

When it happened, like, my first reaction was, man, my ankle is gone. My adrenaline kicked in, and I ran off the field. Then I sat for a while, and it got stiff, and I was going through a lot of pain. Then I just made up in my mind; I came in at halftime, I texted my wife, and I was like, 'This sh** hurt.' I need an ankle massage tonight, and she's like, 'You'd better get your a** back in that game, dawg.' I was like, 'All right'.
Tyreek Hill told ESPN.com after the game.

The loss came at a bad time for the Miami Dolphins because they will be facing tough opponents from here on out. They kick things off by welcoming the New York Jets, who seem to be turning a new page by beating the Texans. Then come the big players: the Dallas Cowboys, the Baltimore Ravens, and the Buffalo Bills.
