“I really want some of Jalen Ramsey,” Dolphins WR Tyreek Hill once wanted to fight the ‘bully’ Jalen Ramsey in a boxing ring

The Miami Dolphins recently acquired the star cornerback Jalen Ramsey from the LA Rams in exchange for a 3rd-round Draft pick and tight end Hunter Long. This is the second straight season the Miami-based football team has acquired a star player via a blockbuster trade. Just last season, the Dolphins acquired the All-Pro wide receiver Tyreek Hill from the Chiefs.
Besides, the first training session will be certainly interesting for the new teammates Tyreek Hill and Jalen Ramsey who share some history between them. In fact, the All-Pro wide receiver once famously called out the ‘now’ former Rams’ defensive back.
“I really want some of Jalen Ramsey though, for real,” Hill said during his appearance at the BS w/ Jake Paul podcast. “If we just being completely honest right here. …I just wanna go at the bully.”
As competitors, both of them might share ultimate respect for each other, but there’s certainly bad blood between the two athletes. In 2018, when Tyreek Hill was just a second-year receiver with the Chiefs, then Jaguars CB Ramsey took a jab at Hill and labeled him as a mere return specialist.
“I don’t like how whoever has made it a matchup of me against Tyreek. He’s good for what he does for a team,” Ramsey said. “He made All-Pro as a return specialist. Let’s get that right: as a return specialist his rookie year. He went to two Pro Bowls, as a return specialist — return specialist. Two years, I made All-Pro in my position as a corner. I went to the Pro Bowl as a corner. So it’s not a wide receiver versus corner matchup.”
Tyreek Hill reacts to the Dolphins acquiring Jalen Ramsey
Even though Tyreek Hill and the former Rams defensive back Jalen Ramsey share some bad history, Hill seems to be excited to work with his new teammate during practice sessions.
“Practice is going to be crazy now,” tweeted Hill as an immediate reaction to the blockbuster trade. Moreover, he also sent a playful warning to Ramsey via social media. “If you hit me like you did in that flag game we fighting,” tweeted Hill referring to Ramsey’s hard hit on him during the Pro Bowl flag football game.
Anyhow, the Dolphins have certainly become a contender in the AFC Conference with a strong upgrade in their secondary unit. As long as their QB Tua Tagovailoa stays healthy, the Miami-based franchise will surely have a shot at winning the Championship.
