The Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill has vowed to break the single-season receiving yards record in the upcoming season. He is currently training with the Dolphins for the upcoming season. Amidst the hectic training camp schedule, Hill recently revealed the list of his top 5 wide receivers of all time, in which he surprisingly excluded the San Francisco 49ers legend Jerry Rice while adding the problematic wideout Antonio Brown.

“If I’m going all-time, I’m going A.B. (Antonio Brown)– T.O. (Terrell Owens)–I’m a Torry Holt fan–a lot of people may be mad at me. I love Torry Holt,” Hill said during his recent appearance on the NFL Network. He then went on to name two Hall of Famers, Calvin Johnson, and Randy Moss.

They are all great receivers, but Hill, most notably, failed to add the 49ers legend Jerry Rice to his list. Rice is a 13-time Pro Bowler who currently holds the record for the most receptions and most receiving yards in NFL history. He was consistently good throughout his entire career. It’s pretty shocking to see Hill leaving Rice from his list of top wide receivers, but the Dolphins wideout has an explanation for it.

“A lot of people get mad at me because I don’t put Jerry Rice in my category,” Hill said. “I love Jerry Rice — he played a long time in the NFL. He’s like the alpha of our position. He wasn’t playing in the sweet spot where I was able to watch. I was able to, in my rookie year, watch prime A.B. go out there and go for like 200.”

The 29-year-old Dolphins’ All-Pro pass catcher star implies that he was too young to remember Jerry Rice’s peak in the NFL. A bizarre reason to exclude statistically the greatest wide receiver of all time. But Hill doesn’t seem to have any problem with adding Antonio Brown, who has been drowning in controversies his entire career.

Tyreek Hill wants to register 2000+ receiving yards in the upcoming season

The Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill is looking to become the first wide receiver in NFL’s history to register 2000+ receiving yards in a single season. Hill vowed to break the 2000+ receiving yards barrier even before Miami’s training camp started.

Hill had the second most receiving yards in the 2022 regular season even with the Dolphins’ unstable QB situation. So, if their QB Tua Tagovailoa can stay healthy in the upcoming season, Hill would have a shot at reaching his goal.

The Pro Bowler believes he has the right supporting cast and coaching staff to break the record. Besides, the extra game would also help Hill to register 2000+ receiving yards, but it will all come down to Tua’s health in 2023.
