The Washington Commanders made a great move of hiring the former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy in the 2023 off-season. Now, Bieniemy is expected to turn the Washington offense into a great unit, but recently some players have complained about his coaching methods to head coach Ron Rivera according to reports. Amidst this, the Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill, who previously played under Bieniemy, has come to the defense of the offensive coordinator.

“Man there is no other coach that has your back like EB !!” star wideout Tyreek Hill posted on the social media platform X. “Take that coaching and get better we all been through … it’s tough but I promise you it will make you better.”

Hill would know a lot about Bieniemy as he once played under the successful coach during their days in Kansas City. Bieniemy spent 10 years with the Chiefs, 5 years as running backs coach, and 5 as the offensive coordinator. He has played a huge role in the success of many star players, including Tyreek Hill, the Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes, and tight end Travis Kelce.

Apart from Hill, the now-New York Jets WR Mecole Hardman and the former Chiefs RB James Charles also came to the aid of the much respected offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy.

Bieniemy is one of the most highly sought offensive coordinators in the league over the last few years. But since he was working under Andy Reid and had Patrick Mahomes as his quarterback, people are still doubting his talent. Now, he has gotten away from the shadows of those two stars and is looking to prove himself in the NFL.

The former Chiefs coordinator Eric Bieniemy is expected to turn the Commanders offensive unit into a great one. However, his coaching methods have led to players complaining about him to Washington head coach Ron Rivera. In a recent interview with The Washington Post’s Nicki Jhabvala, Rivera admitted that a number of players have struggled with the intensity of Bieniemy’s coaching style.

The veteran head coach Rivera also claimed that some of the players are “concerned” with Bieniemy’s coaching. “A lot of these young guys, they do struggle with certain things,” said Rivera.

The Commanders’ coordinator Bieniemy is known for his fierce personality on and off the football field. But as his former players mentioned, he is one of the best in the business and has a successful resume to back his training methods.
