Tyreek Hill left the Kansas City Chiefs after the 2021 season because he wanted a contract similar to that of Davante Adams. However, the Chiefs couldn’t pay him the big bucks and traded Hill to the Miami Dolphins who signed him to a four-year $120 million contract. This deal made Hill the highest-paid wide receiver in NFL history with $30 million per year.
The Cheetah as he is commonly known in the NFL said he is excited to face his former team at Arrowhead Stadium in the 2023 season. During an appearance on Sports Radio 810, WHB Hill expressed his desire to defeat the Chiefs at their home ground.
“Chiefs Kingdom, when the Miami Dolphins come to Arrowhead Stadium this year, guess what we gonna do?” Hill said. “Guess what we gonna do? I hate to say it, man. I hate to throw up the peace sign against y’all. I hate to do it! But guess what? I’m gonna be y’all worst enemy that day. I’m gonna be y’all worst enemy that day.”
Tyreek Hill had his best season in Maimi last year. He had 1,710 receiving yards on 119 receptions and scored seven touchdowns. Hill is going to have another great season but there are some concerns over Tua Tagovailoa being one concussion away from retiring. However, as Hill has proven, he can be the best with any player at quarterback. Just pass the ball to him and he will score touchdowns.
The Chiefs already know the threat of Tyreek Hill on the offense because it is next to impossible to cover him. With the 29-year-old already challenging the Chiefs, let’s see if the Dolphins are all talk no game or do they defeat the AFC powerhouse at home.

Tyreek Hill set to retire after the 2025 season
While talking about facing his former team, Tyreek Hill also revealed that he plans to hang up his cleats after the 2025 season. “I’m going for 10 [seasons], man,” Hill said. “I’m gonna finish out this contract with the Dolphins and then I’m gonna call it quits. I want to go into the business side. I want to do so many things in my life, bro.
“So I really want to get into like the gaming space. I really want to get huge in that and that’s kind of what I’m doing right now. I’m using my platform, creating a gaming team, which isn’t launched yet. It should launch by the end of this month. I’m gonna just sign like different content creators, different athletes. I just been working that, talking to different sponsors.”
It looks like Tyreek Hill has already planned out his retirement. Hill will complete 10 seasons in the NFL in 2025 and is planning to retire afterward. He will be 32 years old when he plans to retire. That’s still young for a wide receiver to retire. Jerry Rice played till he was 42 years old.
Tyreek Hill has already won a Super Bowl ring and will be a Hall of Famer so he doesn’t need to play till he can’t anymore. His retirement plan sounds solid as he plans to enter the gaming scene.
Whether or not he actually retires is a long way to go but not seeing the Cheetah play on the field will be very disheartening!
