The Super Bowl and the FIFA World Cup are some of the biggest sporting events in the world. They both are also different events of completely different sports that are relevant in different parts of the world.
The Super Bowl is part of the American Football sport that is predominantly based in North-America, whereas the FIFA World Cup has a far extending reach in major parts of Europe, Asia, and even South America.
Recently, the USMNT (US Men’s National Soccer team) decided to take a shot at the Super Bowl by making viewership comparisons between them. The Twitter post stated that the Super Bowl showdown between the Chiefs and the Eagles only had around 103.4 million viewers, whereas the FIFA World Cup had around 4 Billion viewers.
Both of those numbers are astronomical, but the comparison isn’t far due to various reasons. American Football is only watched in America whereas European Football or soccer has its bases in almost every country in the world. Therefore, it is bound to get more views than the Super Bowl.
However, the Chiefs-Eagles game was the most watched sporting event in the country and it’s going to be for a long time. The MLS or the USMNT isn’t able to get the viewership that the NFL gets in the country.

THE USMNT gets trolled for making absurd comparisons between Super Bowl and World Cup
The Twitter post by the USMNT went instantly viral as many took to the social media site to hit back at them. They were brutally roasted by the NFL supporters as war was raging in the Twitter thread of that respective post.
Although, there were also many who pointed out the relevant facts and how it isn’t fair to compare the biggest sporting event in America with the FIFA World Cup. There were also some people who called out the USMNT for dividing American People in the name of sports and asked that why can’t anyone enjoy both sports and be happy about it.

The Super Bowl and the FIFA World Cup are two different entities that are exceptional in their own regard and should not be compared. Instead, they should be enjoyed together as both Sports involve great teamwork and camaraderie.
