Josh Dobbs has arrived in Minnesota and is slowly making the quarterback spot his own. But very few expected them to take a 24-3 lead before going into the break against the New Orleans Saints in Week 10. And Dobbs was enjoying it so much that he whipped up the infamous ‘Jordan Shrug.’

The 28-year-old felt at home and was cruising as if he had been there for ages. His stats through the first two quarters were phenomenal, completing 18 passes for 220 yards and a touchdown. Not only that, he had six carries with the ball for 40 yards.

It was with his feet that he looked whenever the chance arrived. With three minutes to go until halftime, Dobbs took a shotgun, evading a fee from the Saints defenders, and walked in for his second TD in Minnesota Vikings color. Then he re-enacted the famous Michael Jordan ‘shrug.’

Kevin O’Connell was all praise for Josh Dobbs

The game was one-sided, and the loss to Derek Carr did not help them. Backup Jamies Winston came on and threw two interceptions to make things worse for the Saints. This paved the way for the Vikings to grab hold of the game with both hands.

However, they did not need to do much in the second half. The damage was already done. Dobbs only added 48 yards on the board and kept things tight, letting the running backs do the bidding for him.

Second-year runner Ty Chandler had 15 touches on the ball and gained 46 yards. He was closely followed by Alexander Mattison, who carried the ball eight times and had 27 yards. This presence of mind and changing the flow of the play have been very successful for Kevin O’Connell.

Josh's two starts have shown us what mobility is, in addition to what we do offensively. "I think this was really special this week. Even coming off of that performance was his work, how he prepared.
Kevin O’Connell told ESPN.com

According to O’Connell, Dobbs basically lived in the facility, becoming familiar with the place. They were focusing on how to integrate the former Cardinal into their game even better, which showed yesterday. He added:

I thought it was a pretty outstanding day from Josh. The best thing about it is that we're all still getting to know each other.

After starting the season 1-4, the win over the Saints puts the Vikings on 6-4. But the best part is that they have a healthy quarterback in the form of Josh Dobbs. Next, they will travel to Mile High and face the Denver Broncos.
