“This is Wentz-level pocket awareness”: Warren Sharp brutally trolls Commanders QB Carson Wentz

The Indianapolis Colts had a disappointing 2021 season. They started off poorly by losing three games on the trot. Although they were able to find some momentum after that but in crunch games, they failed to deliver and hence, couldn’t find a place in the playoffs.

As soon as the season ended, it was obvious that the Colts will make a few changes in personnel as they aren’t known for showing too much patience when it comes to backing their quarterbacks. As a result, the ax fell on Carson Wentz who started every game for them in the previous season.

In the 17 games last season, Wentz led the team to a 9-8 record. He threw for 3563 yards, 27 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. Those aren’t very great numbers. Wentz has gone back to the NFC East where he’ll now play for the Washington Commanders.

Wentz garnered a lot of criticism for the numbers he churned out and recently, NFL analyst Warren Sharp took to Twitter to troll the quarterback. Sharp shared a video of a man who successfully avoids getting hit by a raging bull but gets thrashed by another. He captioned the post, “this is Carson Wentz-level pocket awareness.”

Although Wentz’s numbers were not too great, a lot of experts were unhappy with the fact that the Colts punished only Wentz while the other players and even the support staff had to be held responsible for the team’s loss. Carson has a lot to prove and it will be interesting to see if he can deliver in the coming season.
