The Buffalo Bills began their preseason training on Wednesday, and it’s a day a young fan will never forget. A boy approached quarterback Josh Allen, and he asked the 2022 Pro Bowler if he would give an autograph to his sister. The boy could have gotten the autograph himself, but he chose to make the moment special for his sibling. Not your everyday sibling rivalry, indeed. After the practice ended for the day at St. John Fisher University, the players were heading back to the locker room when the boys shouted Allen’s name.
“Josh, come here. I’ve got a question,” he yelled a few times. To his luck, he caught Allen’s attention. The 27-year-old must have thought the boy wanted his Sharpie to be signed. But that was not the request as he approached, saying, “What’s up?” “My sister loves you. Can you please hug her or something?” said the boy, pointing at a group of kids. “She’s over there in the bucket hat. She’s literally crying.”
The boy said his sister was wearing a bucket hat. As Allen made his way over to the horde of young fans waiting to meet him. After signing a couple of autographs, he recognized the boy’s sister by her hat. Realizing that her favorite player was within touching distance, she teared up, saying, “Oh my God!” But little did she know what would happen next. Allen leaned forward, hugged the young fan, and took a picture with her.

How does Josh Allen’s contract at Buffalo Bills look like compared to Chargers’ Justin Herbert?
Josh Allen is undoubtedly one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL. He will be at least in the top 5 of most fans’ fantasy leagues. But does that reflect on how much he earns at the Buffalo Bills?
Recently, the Los Angeles Chargers made their star Justin Herbert, the highest-paid quarterback in the league. They gave him a five-year contract worth $262.5 million. Compare that with Allen’s, and it looks like a bargain for the Bills.
He signed a $258 million extension for six years in 2021. Only Kansas City Chiefs MVP quarterback Patrick Mahomes earned more. However, since the Lamar Jackson deal and now Herbert, both Mahomes and Allen have fallen down the pecking order. Despite being filthy rich, they sit in the eighth and ninth spots in the QB earners department.
Nevertheless, Allen has good days coming as his salary cap will begin to rise. His cap will peak in 2025, when it will hit $56.5 million, according to Spotrac.
