The Sunday game between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Chargers saw the debut of Taylor Swift and Brittany Mahomes‘ secret handshake. And Arrowhead loved every moment of it.

Taylor 33 has already become quite attached to Brittany 28 in the short period they have known each other. While on the field, their other half, Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes, dominated the Los Angeles Chargers; they were the ones stealing the show with their movement.

During the second quarter, as the Chiefs took complete control of the game, Taylor and Brittany whipped out an elaborate handshake. The two began by slapping the fronts and backs of their hands together five times. After that, they grasped each other’s hands, bumped their hips together, and further topped it off with a chest bump.

Practice makes perfect, as they say. Even before a ball was kicked, Taylor and Brittany were filmed coming up with the handshake. When the time came to showcase it in front of the world, the new besties pulled it off effortlessly.

Since the 12-time Grammy winner started attending Kansas City Chiefs games to support Travis, she and Brittany have grown close. But the Chargers game was the first time she sat in the Mahomes’ suite rather than with Mama Kelce.

Their friendship kicked off the week after Taylor attended her first Chiefs game against the Chicago Bears. Brittany went out for a private dinner with Taylor and some of her close friends, which included Sophie Turner and Blake Lively. 

They dined in a private room. Everyone had a blast. They were laughing all night.

On game day, the four women arrived at MetLife Stadium with a few more familiar faces. Blake’s husband, Ryan Reynolds, and his best buddy, Hugh Jackman, tagged along to cheer for the Chiefs.

The following week, Brittany and Taylor’s friendship saw even more growth. They sat with Donna and Ed Kelce in the VIP suite to watch a win over the Denver Broncos. It is a great way to bond with family members.

In between, Travis and Taylor are spreading their wings and embracing their romance with open arms. Despite the little chatter of disapproval, the world has accepted the couple.
