“We’re here to play ball”, Justin Fields issues a word of ‘CAUTION” toward Trey Lance ahead of season opener against the 49ers

The Chicago Bears will be taking on the mighty San Francisco 49ers on Sunday as that will be the start of the season for both sides. As the two sides duke it out for supremacy, it will be an interesting contest between two first-round quarterbacks from the 2021 drafts that will be featuring a mighty fine match-up of Justin Fields and Trey Lance.

Everyone was pretty sure that it was Justin Fields that the 49ers would be going for but shocking the world, they picked up Trey Lance and it didn’t sit well with Fields. Talking last week, receiver Darnell Mooney pledged that Trey Lance is going to make them all pay.

Here is what Justin Fields had to warn Trey Lance about

Justin Fields

Fields was undoubtedly ecstatic about the fact that Mooney quoted such an epic for him. But more than the quips and jibes, Fields was personally happy with how the proceedings have moved forth for him at Chicago. He was heard quoting, “I don’t take anything personally. I’m happy to be here. I’m glad they passed on me.”

He further added, “We’re here to play ball. We’re not worried about last year’s draft.” With all said and done, Fields would be focused on getting his resources in place as what is more important to him is the game that is at hand.

Well, the comparison maybe not as weighted as it should be but then one who has followed the draft closely would know that it was the passing of Justin Fields that allowed the 49ers to move up to number 3 overall.

However, one game cannot be enough to determine who is a superior pick, whether it is going to be Justin Fields or Lance, but it would definitely bring forth the markers to be laid for the upcoming season. These are two very strong teams and both the players in question will have a personal urge to prove to the world that they are a giant in their own capacity.
