The future of Justin Jefferson has become uncertain as the WR suffered a major injury in his hamstring. Sources revealed that he might miss four to six games as he has to undergo treatment in the coming four to six weeks. However, the question is arising whether this is his last with the Minnesota Vikings as the relationship between the two parties has soured.

The Vikings have lost their four matches and are down by a 1-4 record. Both are also having problems in financial terms. Hence, this might be his end as a Viking.

However, the decision entirely depends on him. If he believes that there are scopes to return to this Vikings side then he will return. But the chances are not very high. During the offseason, the player wanted to secure his financial aim with the Vikings, but the team did not offer the structure that he wanted.

Now, nearly half of the season has passed, and he does not have the deal that he deserves. Hence, the chances of him returning to the squad have sunk more. Moreover, the Vikings are in poor form this season and analysts are expecting more to come in the coming matches.

The Vikings have put him on the reserve list for the rest of the season. They are helping him to recover as soon as possible. However, head coach Kevin O’Connell said that he did not expect Jefferson to miss the entire season. But as things stand right now, he might be missing the rest of the season.

Speaking to the press on this occasion, O’Connell said, “With hamstrings, I don’t want to speculate on exactly when it will be.” O’Connell said last week. “But I know he feels pretty good considering where some guys feel at this point in the process, having been [injured] just this past Sunday.”

It’s just going to be about all that entails going through the process to where he can have some time to start feeling like he can be at full speed again, as explosive as he is, and that will be a process he’ll work through, and hopefully we can get that window opened and we’ll see where he’s at,” the coach further remarked.

Justin Jefferson’s performance this season was on the rise

Despite his team’s abysmal performance on the turf, Jefferson has stood out as an exception. The WR registered 36 catches out of 53 that were attempted at him. He also registered three receiving touchdowns and covered 571 yards. With 52 long gains, he put his best effort in for the team.

Jefferson’s injury will brew more trouble for the Vikings. They are already struggling and have some tough games in the pipeline. It will be difficult for them to make a comeback.

The Vikings will be going against the Chicago Bears today who have the same record as them in this season.
