The NFL fans who are deprived of football in the off-season are getting a new treat. Fans would be able to witness some unprecedented behind-the-scenes from the eyes of three NFL quarterbacks from the 2022 season. NFL Films and Peyton Manning‘s Omaha productions teamed to produce the eight-part docuseries that will be premiering on Netflix on July 12.
So, which three quarterbacks will the fans get to witness? The three signal-callers that will be featured on the Netflix show Quarterback are the Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes, the Minnesota Vikings QB Kirk Cousins, and the Atlanta Falcons QB Marcus Mariota. Fans will be able to stream the docuseries from July 12.
Among the featured QBs, the Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes had the best season. He won his league MVP award, second championship ring, and second Super Bowl MVP award in the 2022 season. So, fans are excited to see those events unfold from the eyes of the man himself.
Apart from him, the Vikings QB Kirk Cousins had a successful season as well as he led his team to the postseason but unfortunately had a bad end to his campaign. He got booted out of the playoffs by the road underdogs New York Giants.
The Falcons QB Marcus Mariota had the worst season among the three quarterbacks. He began the season as the starting QB of the Falcons, but he eventually lost his starting signal-caller job to rookie Desmond Ridder. Therefore, the fans can expect to see the good, the bad, and the ugly side of being an NFL quarterback.
Netflix’s Quarterback will have Unprecedented BTS scenes, claims Peyton Manning
The Denver Broncos legend Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions also worked in Netflix’s 8-episode documentary series ‘Quarterback’ featuring Mahomes, Cousins, and Mariota.
“We’ve seen quarterbacks mic’d up for a game. We’ve certainly seen training camp. But we’ve never followed a quarterback throughout the entire season to see what he does Sunday night after a big win, after a brutal loss on a last second field goal — what they do on Mondays and Tuesdays on their off days,” Quarterback executive producer Peyton Manning said according to Netflix.
“Are they hanging out? Are they playing golf? Are they in the weight room and watching film and grinding for that next game? Which is the answer, by the way, not to give it away,” Manning continued.
The docu-series, which will give the audience an inside look at the athlete’s life on and off the football field, has created some excitement among football fans. The audience will be able to stream the much-anticipated show on the streaming platform, Netflix, from July 12.
