The Miami Dolphins’ superstar WR Tyreek Hill has lit up the football field this season with his immaculate speed and incredible talent. However, he was involved in another fiery incident, this time, at his home. Hill’s home in Southwest Ranches caught fire as black smoke engulfed half the mansion. Davie Fire Rescue units arrived at the home shortly after 2 p.m. on Wednesday.
Davie Fire Rescue reported that a child playing with a cigarette lighter caused the fire at Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill’s mansion. They also called the incident “unintentional, accidental.” The children were playing on the second story of the home’s northwest side when the fire broke out, as per the police report.
The Miami Dolphins released a statement claiming that Hill had verified with his family that everyone had left the house and was okay. Hill left the facility to handle the situation. Dolphins wide receiver Braxton Berrios stated:
Seeing him run off the field was kind of a real moment. It's a sad reality that we have those things to worry about.Braxton Berrios on Tyreek Hill
Other Dolphins players also shared their thoughts about the incident and showed support for their superstar receiver.
Hill has had a terrific season as he has racked up 1,717 yards and 12 touchdowns so far this season. He and the Dolphins have qualified for the postseason and will look to make a deep playoff run this year.
Tua Tagovailoa shows support to Tyreek Hill after his house caught fire
The Miami Dolphins’ WR Tyreek Hill’s house was caught on fire on Wednesday. Firefighters arrived shortly after and put out the fire. Hill left the Dolphins facility to address the situation. Fortunately, no one was hurt during the incident. Hill’s teammates showed support to their receiver and among them, was the team’s QB Tua Tagovailoa.
Tagovailoa said addressing the reporters:
I think that would be difficult for, not just my teammates, but for anyone in general to be going through what Tyreek is going through right now. I think the main thing is his family is safe, his loved ones are good, and he’s good as well. I know it’s a little clichéd to say, but those things like that, part of the house, some of those things can be replaceable, but I’m just glad that a lot of his family members are safe.Tua Tagovailoa on Tyreek Hill
Tagovailoa and Hill have been fantastic this season and are looking to lead their team deep into the playoffs. The QB and the receiver have connected for 1,717 yards and 12 touchdowns. Tagovailoa has 4,451 yards and 28 touchdowns to go along with his 12 interceptions. He has a rating of 103.0.
