The Broncos’ young defensive player Eyioma Uwazurike becomes the latest victim in the long list of players that were suspended for violating the league’s gambling policies. The former Atlanta Falcons receiver Calvin Ridley was one of the first players to get banned from the league over gambling violations, he missed the entire 2022 season and was traded to the Jacksonville Jaguars, where he will play in the upcoming season.

Back in April, four Detroit Lions players and one Washington Commanders player received suspensions. In June another set of four players got punished for betting while in the workplace.

Three players from the Indianapolis Colts and one from the Tennessee Titans got suspended back in June. And now, the Broncos DE becomes the 10th player to get punished for the same crime. The league has been trying to educate players about its gambling policies but the numbers just keep growing and growing.
