The New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson finally broke his silence on the rumors of him being reluctant about starting for the Jets’ for the remainder season. Absolutely not. I love the guys in this locker room and I would do anything. I think any time you have an opportunity to step on this field, you need to take advantage of it.

He later thanked his teammates and the management for backing him continuously amid his struggles. Wilson added that the entire team backed him when it was needed. He had support from all of the Jets players and that was one of the most important reasons for him to love this New York Jets team.

Zach Wilson indeed got support from the Jets team. Despite failing to prove himself, the QB had the backing of head coach Robert Saleh and even Aaron Rodgers. Multiple times, Rodgers stepped up to rally behind the ‘accidental’ quarterback to protect him from the criticisms from the press and analysts.

Aaron Rodgers’ early return in jeopardy

Aaron Rodgers is not returning. Multiple talks were in the business that Rodgers might make a comeback in the first week of December. He himself had indicated his return earlier . However, now it that is not happening. Rodgers is not returning in the first week of December and Wilson is going to start the next game.

Earlier, it was thought that Rodgers would make a comeback if the Jets would make it to the playoffs. However, a change in his mind was reported by Fox Sports analyst Jay Glazer. He reported,

Well, that changed this past week. I think Aaron, even if they’re out of it, still wants to show he was able to come back faster from that Achilles tear, faster than pretty much any quarterback ever.

Rodgers even threw a few dimes in the team’s practice. Hence, the possibility of him returning to the field was triggered. But it seems that is not happening any time soon.
