On Sunday, the Dallas Cowboys led by their MVP-caliber quarterback Dak Prescott went against the Buffalo Bills in their week 15 game. During the tough road game, Prescott struggled a lot against the rough Bills defense, who played physical football all night long. However, in one instance, the Cowboys offensive lineman Zach Martin took issue with defensive back Taylor Rapp‘s questionable hit on Prescott.

During the 1st quarter of the game, the Cowboys were trailing by 7 points and were facing a crucial 3rd down and 6 from their 29-yard line. Prescott, who took the snap from shotgun position, scanned the field for an open receiver before deciding to take off with the ball. Prescott rushed for a first and then a few more yards before sliding down in bounds.

However, just as he was sliding down, the Bills defensive back Taylor Rapp glazed the Cowboys quarterback while trying to avoid the sliding Prescott. Rapp immediately put his hands up to imply he wasn’t purposely trying to hit a quarterback who was giving up himself.

But, the Cowboys OL Zach Martin ran towards Rapp at full speed and pushed him down to the ground near Dallas’ sideline, which ignited a huge fight. Check out the footage attached below.

In the end, the refs flagged Rapp for unnecessary roughness, but it was offset by a flag on Martin. The Cowboys ended up punting away the rock despite Prescott’s impressive play to get the 1st down while risking a head injury.

All because Martin couldn’t control his emotions. That sequence was crucial since the Cowboys’ offense never managed to find its rhythm against the tough Bills defense on Sunday.

With just over 2 minutes left in the first quarter, Zack Martin left the game after taking a direct hit from the Bills pass rusher Gregory Rousseau’s helmet. He missed the remainder of the game. However, Martin seemingly avoided massive injury and is expected to be ready to play in week 16.

I thought maybe I did something with my knee there with the way it felt when I got hurt. But we went back in and checked it out and luckily my knee was stable.

On the sporting side of things, the Cowboys suffered a morale-downing 31-10 loss on Sunday and fell to a 10-4 record. In addition, Dak Prescott’s NFL MVP campaign took a massive hit as he suffered following his abysmal outing against the Bills.
