Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Zay Flowers just finished a remarkable rookie campaign while catching passes from 2-time league MVP Lamar Jackson. However, Flowers is now facing some off-field issues while the team is in off-season mode. 

According to a report from The Baltimore Banner, Flowers is currently under investigation for an alleged domestic assault. The law enforcement agencies in Maryland and Massachusetts are involved in the investigation, per reports.

The alleged incident happened in Owings Mills, Maryland, on January 21, just a day after the Ravens defeated the Houston Texans in their divisional round matchup.

The investigation is being carried out by two state agencies: Baltimore County Police and a police department in Acton, Mass. Both agencies told the Baltimore Banner about the alleged assault, but they did not provide any further information.

The Acton Police Department refused to give more information about the investigation due to laws in the state of Massachusetts that protect the privacy of victims. Meanwhile, Baltimore County police told the outlet that they wouldn’t provide any additional information about the incident. 

Flowers or his agent haven’t provided any statement about the investigation, and it’s unclear whether the Ravens wide receiver had any legal representation for the investigation. Nonetheless, the Baltimore-based football team released a statement in which they said they would take the domestic violence allegations seriously.

At the moment, there is no further information available about the flower’s alleged domestic violence incident. The 23-year-old wide receiver hasn’t been arrested or charged with a crime.

Zay Flowers had a great rookie campaign with the Ravens

The Baltimore Ravens drafted wide receiver Zay Flowers with the 22nd overall pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. With that pick, the Ravens gave their quarterback, Lamar Jackson, a much-needed offensive weapon.

Flowers proved to be a great pick by the Ravens as he ended up leading their squad in receiving yards. He registered 858 receiving yards and 5 receiving touchdowns in 2023. He had a couple of forgettable moments during his rookie campaign, but he will only improve from here on.

He helped Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson win his second league MVP award. But he couldn’t help the Ravens defeat the Kansas City Chiefs in their AFC championship game. Now, he is also facing some league issues, which might affect his career.
