The NFL coaches deserve a well-paid cheque for the hard work they put into the team to make it stand out in the league. Nick Sirianni is one such well-heard name who is a head coach to the Philadelphia Eagles of the NFL.
He is of Italian American descent and his father was a head coach at the high school from where Nick graduated. He played as a wide receiver, stepping into a football career, and collected national championships for straight three consecutive years. As a senior, he had 998 yards and 13 touchdowns marking his early recognition.
Coming out of college, Nick Sirianni had a degree in Education. He started his career being a defensive back coach at his alma mater Mount Union, followed by his switch to the Indiana University of Pennsylvania where he coached receivers for 3 years.
The NFL coach position came to him after an interview with the Chiefs’ head Todd Haley, that later signed him as the offensive quality control coach. His excellent skills moved him a step ahead and got promoted to wide receivers coach for the Kansas City Chiefs.
Sirianni excelled as a coach and was able to work with other NFL teams like San Diego Chargers, and Indianapolis Colts before landing his promoted position as the head coach to the Philadelphia Eagles. With the Chargers, he served as QB coach and later shifted to WR coach.
For the Indianapolis Colts, he was hired for the post of offensive coordinator. The Eagles in 2021 hired Sirianni for the position of head coach after they fired Doug Pederson. He made his debut as a head coach against Atlanta Falcons and led the team to a 32-6 victory. Sirianni is the only first-year coach who directed the team to the playoffs in the 2021 NFL season.
Further in 2022-23 season, the team grabbed another accolade in Sirianni’s hat by not only earning the NFC East division championship but also capturing the NFC Championship under the leadership of Sirianni.
Nick Sirianni’s contract details
The head coach of the Eagles was officially declared for the position in 2021 by replacing Doug Pederson. The NFL coach earns a good figure. However, these figures aren’t made public, so we can only guess how much they earn.
According to the reports, Sirianni has signed a five-year deal that is worth $30 to $35 million. As per multiple outlets, his annual salary is around $6-$7 million. Based on the figures, he is comparatively earning in mid-range as compared to the former and current Eagles coach.
His contract is valid till 2025, according to ESPN, and is already collecting a good amount of cash in his pocket. More money will make a way through if he keeps leading the Eagles through the Super Bowl.
