“What the F*CK it’s not selfish!”: Pat McAfee backs Aaron Rodgers to take his time to decide on his future
Aaron Rodgers has some big decisions to make when it comes to his future. The quarterback is one of the most talked-about players currently and his future is the raging topic among NFL fans. While some believe he will be staying with the Green Bay Packers, others do not think so.
There have also been rumours stating that Aaron Rodgers might go to the San Francisco 49ers. Amidst all this, NFL punter Pat McAfee has backed Aaron Rodgers and said that he can take as much time as he wants to decide upon his future.
Aaron Rodgers has not made his decision regarding his future at the Green Bay Packers so far
Pat McAfee on his own show has said that it’s illogical to label Aaron Rodgers as ‘selfish’ about wanting to take time and think about his future. He believes that Aaron Rodgers’ decisions will be taken solely on what he feels is best.
“It can take some time and maybe Aaron didn’t expect it to take this amount of time. Maybe Aaron thought after the Panchkarma he had his entire mind cleared. Mike called him ‘selfish’ but who the f*ck are you to say so. Everybody knows he’s trying to figure out what his future is,” Pat McAfee said.
“There will be no news today,” Rodgers said the last time out on the Pat McAfee Show. “No decision on my future. I just got out of a 12-day Panchakarma (a cleansing ritual). It’s a cleanse that originated in India. It’s something I’ve done in the offseason. No decision.”
“We need to set some things aside and be able to focus on something else from time to time,” he said. “As players, we’re always doing that to some extent. There have been years I’ve played really good with the work environment maybe not being the best, personally going through some struggles, or vice versa. But what happens when the home life is so great and the work-life is good as well, it allows work to be a bonus. Home is no longer a refuge when you have to get away to be able to thrive. Work becomes icing on the cake.”
