“He Had Only 13 Seconds”: Patrick Mahomes’ magical play in the final moments leads the Chiefs to a memorable victory

The Kansas City Chiefs took on the Buffalo Bills in the Divisional Round playoff clash and as expected, it turned out to be an enthralling encounter. The game was as evenly poised as possible in the first two quarters with the scoreline depicting 14-14 at halftime.
Both the teams were a little cautious to start but things started happening as the game moved forward. The Chiefs had a two-point lead before going into the final quarter. However, they were pushed back in the final quarter by the Bills. Mahomes and Co were trailing by 3 points with only 13 seconds left on the clock.
Mahomes leads the side to an emphatic win against the Bills
The Bills were looking favorites to clinch the encounter. However, a momentary lapse in concentration from the Bills allowed Mahomes to inflict all the damage in just 13 seconds. Mahomes was left open as the Chiefs were more focused on guarding the end zone in the final moments of the game.
As a result, Mahomes led the game-tying field goal drive which pushed the game into overtime. Mahomes had only 13 seconds starting at his own 25-yard line and he still ended up tieing the game which should have gone Buffalo’s way. In overtime, the Chiefs ended up taking the game away from their opponents.
In the end, the Kansas City Chiefs emerged victoriously by 42-36 in overtime. Josh Allen’s all hard work went down the drain. Allen scored 4 touchdowns with zero interceptions, but his game was outshined by magical Mahomes who turned the tables in a matter of seconds.
