“They’ll always be toxic” Randy Gregory slams Cowboys fans after picking Denver over Dallas

Randy Gregory
Randy Gregory recently signed a new contract with the Denver Broncos to help bolster their roster in an already loaded AFC West. However, he had an agreement to remain with the Dallas Cowboys but backed out in favor of Denver which fans certainly did not like.
In his 5 seasons with the Cowboys, Randy Gregory never managed to play a full season due to injuries and suspensions. In fact, in 5 seasons, Gregory has only started 12 games but has played in 50. Of those 12 starts, 11 came in 2021 where he showed some good potential.

Gregory finished the 2021 season with a career-best of 6 sacks to go with 17 QB hits and 4 tackles for loss. His performances made him a quite sought-after free agent as when he is on the field he can make a real difference. As such, the Cowboys offered him a 5-year $70 million deal to stay in Dallas.
Randy Gregory agreed to that deal with the Cowboys but later changed his mind as he elected to sign the same exact offer with the Denver Broncos. This naturally left Cowboys fans quite upset but Gregory wasn’t one to keep quiet about it.
Randy Gregory lashes out at Cowboys fans on Twitter

Randy Gregory recently published a tweet reading “Y’all opinions don’t pay my bills” after which, mayhem broke loose.
One fan responded to Gregory calling him upset to which the new Bronco said “Nah that’s your toxic fan base that believe I owe them and their team something.”
There was also a deleted tweet that really called out the Cowboys fans as well as the team’s front office which read “Your owners acted in bad faith all free agency. They’ve been awfully quiet lately huh? Wonder why… Can’t wait for you guys to ask them the same questions!” As well as “Let’s be honest, they’ll always be toxic.”
Gregory was certainly in a very unusual situation this offseason and that apparently has to do with a disagreement on the language in his new contract. It allowed the Cowboys to void the deal had Gregory been fined or suspended so it’s not too surprising to see him not liking that. Now, he needs to focus on remaining in the field as long as possible as the Broncos look to make a Super Bowl run.
