Report: Miami Dolphins tried to unite Tom Brady and Sean Payton before Brian Flores filed the lawsuit

Tom Brady, Brian Flores and Sean Payton

Tom Brady, had recently officially announced his retirement from the NFL last month after playing for 22 seasons where he spent the major part of his career while playing for the New England Patriots and during his last two seasons he played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

After his exit from the New England Patriots, he was rumored to be joining the Miami Dolphins and the Bucs also feared that Brady might join them as a player as well as a partial owner of the franchise.

Reports have emerged recently that the Miami Dolphins were planning to bring Tom Brady and former Saints coach Sean Payton together for the 2022 season but their plans were soon derailed by the filing of a lawsuit by former Miami coach Brian Flores who caused huge concern among many franchise owners around the league.

Tom Brady has been linked with the Miami Dolphins fur multiple times now during the past few years since his exit from the Patriots. There was a rumored quarterback who held a meeting with the Dolphins before the last season and now many believe that quarterback was Brady himself who wasn’t able to sign with them because Brian Flores refused due to tampering concerns.

The Miami Dolphins were looking back to bring Sean Payton who then was the head coach of the New Orleans Saints as the replacement for the recently fired Brian Flores but all of their plans were shattered when Flores dropped the bomb which shook the NFL.

Sean Payton is an absolutely great coach and many teams would have been after him if he wouldn’t have taken a break from football, and he still is touted to be the next Cowboys coach if Mike McCarthy doesn’t fulfill expectations in the next season.

As for Brady, it is still unclear what he will do as many believe he might come back again and play for his boyhood team the San Francisco 49ers as they have a great roster and just need a solid quarterback to carry them through the finishing line which Jimmy G was not capable to do last season.

The next season is approaching and all the uncertainties around the league involving everyone will be solved soon, hopefully.
