Rob Gronkowski was selected in the second round of the 2010 NFL draft by the New England Patriots. He quickly made an impression on Tom Brady who saw him putting in that extra work and being stalwart on the field during clutch moments. Soon the duo developed a great understanding which reflected through their on field production. Brady-Gronk were a force to reckon with in the postseason. Due to his unique ability to be a part-time blocker made him a threat to opposing team’s defense.

Gronkowski was recently snapped at the Universal Studios shooting for a commercial for USAA with his beloved French bulldog, Ralphie. Gronk seems to be enjoying his new found love for acting.

“It’s a lot more fancy in this industry,” said Gronkowski. “It’s just grind, grind, grind, in football, and out here it’s like it’s like you’re like a supermodel or something. I don’t have to be in good shape at all. I got people feeding me, and if I’m slow, I’m slow. It doesn’t matter if I’m quick or not. So it’s wonderful.”

This isn’t the star tight end’s first rodeo. He has represented various brands before in his career. Gronk has done ads for USAA, Tide, Lyft, Cheerios, Nike, Dunkin’ Donuts, T-Mobile, Body Armour and JetBlue. Furthermore, Gronk was reunited with his former Patriots teammates Julian Edelman and Danny Amendola while filming for Tom Brady’s upcoming movie 80 for Brady.

Gronk is confident that he won’t return to the NFL as he has accomplished more than he had ever hoped for. “I definitely feel accomplished. … I feel accomplished with my career, and, actually, it went way better than I ever thought it could have,” Gronk said.

“It definitely can be a scary route. I mean, I’m not really scared about it — I’m prepared. I feel like there’s a lot of business opportunities. I know I want to step into the business world,” Gronk said as he looks forward to his life after NFL. While he desperately hope that he comes for one last time to reunite with Brady for a final season, we can’t hope but wish him luck for his future endeavors!
