Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end, Rob Gronkowski shared a cryptic message to address his impending retirement from the game. The message came right after the Bucs suffered a 27-30 defeat against the LA Rams in the divisional playoff encounter to bring an end to their NFL season.
Gronkowski who returned from retirement to play with his long time friend Tom Brady might call it a day to his career for a second time, as Brady continues to ponder over his future. The tight end had announced his retirement in 2019, citing mental issues but returned to the game as a Tampa Bay Buccaneers player in 2020.

The 32-year old was picked up by the Bucs after they signed Tom Brady from New England Patriots, giving the duo a chance to once again reunite as teammates. Rob Gronkowski signed a one-year contract extension earlier this year which is all set to end in March.
Amidst that, the future Hall of Famer came up with a cryptic message on his official Twitter account after his side’s elimination.
“Year 11 in the books,” he wrote. “What a ride it’s been. Grateful to the Bucs for giving me an opportunity to play another year. To my teammates, thank you for giving everything you had. The sweat we shed & memories made will never be forgotten. Thanks to the #Krewe too.
“Years 12???” (Followed by a big eye emoji).
It is also important to note that Rob Gronkowski had previously talked of retiring at the same time as his friend Tom Brady, and if the quarterback decides to call it a day, the tight end might end up following his lead, retiring from the game.
