“Russell’s great but…” – Dan Orlovsky strongly recommends the Seahawks to trade Russell Wilson for ‘this’ reason

With the free agency coming up along with the NFL draft, teams are in a hurry to recruit the best talent into their organization to be a Super Bowl contender. The most important position of the sport is the quarterback. While most of the teams are happy with their current situation, others are looking for a franchise QB.
Washington Commanders are openly talking about drafting a QB which most teams don’t advertise. The Commanders have made several phone calls to teams in the NFL to look for a trade. They were willing to give up multiple first-round picks for Russell Wilson but the Seahawks declined their proposal.
Russell Wilson shouldn’t be traded for less than 3 first-rounds picks

Former NFL quarterback turned analyst Dan Orlovsky on the football talk show Get Up said that Seattle should entertain Russell Wilson trade talks. “Absolutely. And I don’t think Russell Wilson is unavailable in trade talks,” Dan said. “I think it starts at 3 first-round picks. If a team calls Seattle and says we are starting offers with 3 first-round picks, he gets traded.
“The reality is this for Seattle. They are not a good football team and they are not a good roster and they are not going to be one for the next 2 seasons. This is a roster that’s depleted with talent. They are the fourth most talented roster in their division.” Dan is of the opinion that Seattle should trade Wilson to get the first-round picks in order to create a Super Bowl worthy team in the future.

“Russell’s great. But we are not a good enough team to keep him on our roster and think we have a now and/or a future,” Dan concluded. The only problem with Dan’s plan is that Russell Wilson has a ‘no0trade’ clause in his contract that allows him to reject a trade offer if he isn’t satisfied with the destination.
Maybe the Seahawks would benefit a great deal from trading Russell Wilson in exchange for 3 first-rounds. If a team that is to Wilson’s liking makes an offer, then maybe we could see a trade happening soon enough!
