As things currently stand, Blaine Gabbert is the starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers heading into the next season after Tom Brady announced his retirement last month.

It might not be the case after the free agency or at the start of next season as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers might look at somebody else to replace Brady who led them to a Super Bowl title in his first season with the team.

A player like Tom Brady will be hard to replace, the only thing you can do is to get someone who can help this talented roster to compete at playoff level because you can’t be hoping to win a Super Bowl in just the next season after Brady leaves football.

Former NFL player and current ESPN Analyst, Ryan Clark spoke about this scenario and simply said, “Blaine Gabbert is not the answer.”, reflecting that he isn’t good enough to carry this franchise.

Ryan Clark on ESPN’s show Get Up talked about the possibility of Gabbert being the starting quarterback for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next season and said, “I’m sure he has respect in the locker room but Last time I checked, respect ain’t never win you any football games.”

He further said, “Blaine Gabbert is probably a great dude, probably a great family man, he is great to have in the locker room but not good to have your starting quarterback.”

Ryan Clark said, “That is the reason why he has bounced around and why he is the backup.”

There is a strong possibility that the Buccaneers will look into the options for their quarterback position other than Blaine Gabbert with the name of Jimmy G and Russell Wilson being linked regularly and those players can bring justice to the position left behind by the great Tom Brady.
