The Tennesse Titans came up short yet again, in quest of a Super Bowl title after they fell short against the Cincinnati Bengals. Titans succumbed to a 16-19 defeat at home, which continued their losing run at home in the postseason for the second year running.
After a top seed finish in the regular season, the Titans went into the playoffs as one of the major favourites against the Bengals, but a final 52-yard kick from Evan McPherson, sank all of their hopes. The campaign for the Titans was once again a case, which failed to achieve its full potential after showing glimpses of it during the earlier phases.
Shannon Sharpe was very impressed with the Bengals fans
Leading NFL analyst and Undisputed podcast host, Shannon Sharpe poked fun at the Dallas Cowboys fans after the Bengals came out victorious against the Titans. The Cowboys have already been eliminated following their 23-17 loss against the 49ers in the Wild Card fixture last weekend.
Taking to his official Twitter account, Shannon Sharpe wrote, “Bengals and their fans don’t tell you how good they are. They show you. The Cowboys and their fans tell you every yr they’re going to the SUPERBOWL and watch the gm on TV like everyone else.”
Sharpe praised the Bengals fans for both hyping their team much, even though they pulled off the victory against the favourites Titans. The away side fought bravely and remained in the game for the entirety which allowed them to just edge it at the end.
