This just in! Super Bowl LVI Champ Aaron Donald will be receiving $95 million over the course of the next three years from the Los Angeles Rams. There are no additional years added to his contract. He basically will be receiving a raise of $40 million.

Arguably, one of the greatest defensive players in the history of the NFL set another record as he becomes the first non-QB player to pass the $30 million per year mark. Donald will get $65 million over the next two and he is free to retire after 2023 with zero financial penalties. If he decides to continue till 2024, he is set to receive an additional $30 million.

Hall of Fame tight end Shannon Sharpe showered praises on Aaron Donald on his show Undisputed. “It goes to show you what they think of Aaron Donald,” Shannon said. “Skip they’ve already paid him for what he’s accomplished. The 3x DPOY, 8x Pro Bowls, 7x First Team All-Pro, they paid him for that. Now we’ve given you additional money. What we believe is that over the next two to three years, you will maintain the level of play you’ve shown us and this contract will be worth what we’ve given you.”

“Aaron Donald is been as dominant as you can possibly be,” Shannon added. “He’s been dominant that’s why they’ve made him the highest-paid defensive player. At one point in time other guys come along, he knows how this works, and guess what in the next two years probably another guy’s gonna come along and make more money than Aaron Donald. But Aaron Donald has shown me over the course of this career that he is the preeminent defensive player and I believe he’s the best player in all of football. I’m not saying he’s the most valuable, I’m saying I believe he’s the best player in all of football.”

The LA Rams selected Aaron Donald 13th overall in the 2014 NFL draft. Since then Donald has been the centerpiece of the Rams’ defense and has been the driving force of the team. He has also received every accolade a defensive player ever can and this is the reason why he’s considered to be one of the best defensive players in all of the NFL.

While there were rumors that Donald might be retiring since he’s finally won the Super Bowl but the new contract offered by the Rams guarantees that fans will be able to witness Aaron’s terror for at least three more years!
