Aaron Rodgers finally signed a new contract with the Green Bay Packers to extend his stay at the franchise, for the next 4 years. The move came after Rodgers had hogged most of the limelight throughout the NFL offseason, with contract disputes between the two parties.
Rodgers was linked to plenty of NFL franchises, including the likes of Denver Broncos, after which the player had to address the issues himself. The 38-year old quarterback will earn a whopping $50 million per year, for the next four years at the franchise.

While he had continuously maintained that his signing an extension with the Green Bay Packers will not be about him wanting a better deal, which will make him the highest-paid league, it turned out to be exactly that way after the contract was signed couple of days back.
Shannon Sharpe did not hide his feelings for Aaron Rodgers’ handling of his contract situation and continually lied about the fact that it is not about the money he earns. Speaking on the popular podcast, Undisputed, Shannon Sharpe lashed out on Rodgers and called him a liar in an incredible rant on the show.
“The problem that I have with him is what I’ve learned about Aaron Rodgers over past the year and a half, is he’s a liar,” Sharpe exclaimed.
“He called the reports of him wanting to be the highest-paid player by a wide margin at $50 million per year, he said it was categorically false. That’s what that lying you-know-what said. And come to find out, it’s exactly what he wanted and the numbers match exactly what was being reported!”
“‘I want to make sure Davante gets his money.’ How are you going to pay Davante 25, 30 million dollars, when you just took $50 (million)? I care about Davante, that’s my guy, he’s the best receiver in football.’ Well, you damn sure left him chickenfeed to get!” Sharpe said.
“I have no problem with Aaron Rodgers getting his bag. He deserves it. four-time MVP, consecutive MVPs the last two years, but just stop lying, bro. Nobody is trying to cancel you,” he said. Continuing the mockery, he added, “You went on Pat McAfee’s show and all you do is lie. ‘It’s not about the money.’ Well, what the hell is it about?” finished off Shannon Sharpe on the Rodgers contractual issue.
