Skip Bayless slams Mac Jones for shocking display against Buffalo Bills

The New England Patriots were thumped to a shameful defeat in the Wild Card playoff match against the Buffalo Bills. Mac Jones’ side suffered a humiliating 47-17 defeat, with the quarterback himself failing to perform in the biggest game of their season.
While the Bills put on an incredible offensive display, scoring from all of their first seven attacking possessions, the Patriots failed to reciprocate anything of that sort, as Jones had a shattering night. The rookie quarterback, who had drawn high praises during the season failed to perform on the biggest night.
All comparisons of Mac Jones being the next Tom Brady were stopped after his performance against the Bills

Mac Jones was even compared to the legendary quarterback Tom Brady, but all of those came to an end after his performance against the Bills. Jones was 24 of 38 for 232 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions, and struggled to get the offense off to the fast start that the Patriots so badly needed.
Skip Bayless took no half measures while making his analysis on Jones and slammed the quarterback. The Undisputed show host used sarcasm to show how far Jones was to become Tom Brady.
He took to his official Twitter account and wrote, “Mac Jones is about as close to Tom Brady as I am to Buffalo. I’m in Los Angeles.”
Mac Jones however did not take away much from the defeat and hoped to return better in the next season. The 23-year old recognised that it still is a learning curve for him as a player, and he wants to return stronger in the coming season.
“Losing terrible, none of us wanted to do that tonight,” Jones said. “But there’s nothing we can do about it. There’s a lot to look forward to and be positive about and learn from.
“There’s nothing to hang our heads on. I’m super proud of the people who have helped me grow as a person – coaches, players, support staff and all that. There’s a lot to look back on and just learn. There’s nothing to feel sorry about. It’s just a learning experience to get better for next year,” Jones finished off while looking back on the season the Patriots had in 2021.
