In the 18 years Kevin Durant has been a professional basketball player, fans have come to know about his personal life just once, when he was engaged to WNBA player Monica Wright.

That engagement did not last long, and both went their separate ways. The latter moved on and got married, and now works as the GM of WNBA expansion franchise, the Toronto Tempo.

So much has happened in Wright’s life, but not so much in the 2-time NBA champion’s personal life. Durant is still single and is focused on trying to win a title or two before he retires.

He has been caught flirting with the likes of Kay Adams, but that was more about workplace banter than being anything else. That is where former NFL player Channing Crowder has a problem.

You know why else I’m hot with you about. You have not blessed the world with your DNA. We can’t get a lil Kevin or Kevinita. Bro, we need this to continue. You’re the only one on Netflix without a lady.

Channing Crowder said on The Pivot

Hearing this, the Houston Rockets star could not control his laughter. The Slim Reaper kept saying that his time to establish a family would come, but Crowder was not having it.

The former running back claimed that the world would like to see Kevin Durant‘s genes continue. However, the superstar forward did not seem to be interested at the moment.

Kevin Durant talks about joining the Warriors in 2016

Apart from his personal life, one of the most talked-about parts of Kevin Durant’s life was his decision to join the Golden State Warriors back in 2016. When asked on The Pivot, he detailed what he felt at the time.

Going to Golden State that was the ultimate team. I feel like we were all placed in our perfect roles to be us, and people see that they see that too, and deep down they can see through the superteam and super villains… Once you get away from all that, and you keep it at the game itself, then people will understand why I made that decision.

Kevin Durant replied

The 37-year-old believes most people make up the superteam narratives just to undermine what he and the team achieved. Durant feels in pure basketball terms that 73-9 team became perfect once he joined.

Many might not agree, as they have regularly used those arguments against him. Those constant criticisms were the reason he did not agree to join them this past season.

Kevin Durant and Rockets have yet to fulfill their potential

Right now, Kevin Durant is busy working with his Houston Rockets squad, trying to figure out how to maximize their collective effort. In 3 games so far, they lost the first two, and won the 3rd against the lowly Brooklyn Nets.

The first loss was to Durant’s former team, the Oklahoma City Thunder. They were afforded some leeway, as they did all they could in double overtime.

But the next one to the Detroit Pistons hurt them to the extent that the 15-time All-Star talked about that being the spark that should light their fire. With the competition in the Western Conference at an all-time high, they hope that the fire starts burning immediately.
