“Stay off the WEED” – Stephen A. Smith thrashes Tyreek Hill for his laughable comparison of Tua Tagovailoa to Patrick Mahomes

Stephen A. Smith believes the only way Tyreek Hill can feel Tua Tagovailoa is better than Patrick Mahomes is under the influence of weed

Tyreek Hill has had hell rain down on him for the past few days by NFL critics and fans alike for his utterly ridiculous statement. Hill who was a former Kansas City Chief and is now a Miami Dolphin openly stated that Tua Tagovailoa is more accurate than Patrick Mahomes.

This statement did not sit well with anybody in the league and Hill received the sharp end of the spear and was thrashed on social media. One might argue that since Hill is now a Dolphin, he cannot say negative things about his won quarterback but saying that he is better than probably the greatest QB of the younger generation is taking it too far.

Tyreek Hill, 28, was drafted by the Kansas City Chiefs in the fifth round of the 2016 NFL draft. Hill soon became one of the favorite targets for QB Patrick Mahomes. He quickly rose to the top of the WR table thanks to his speed, crazy routes, and insane ability to ditch defenders. Hill played under Mahomes who led the Chiefs to four straight AFC Championships, two back-to-back Super Bowls, and 1 Super Bowl victory. Mahomes is known for his arm strength and his ability to throw accurate passes under heavy pressure from defenders.

Hill who is yet to play even a pre-season game with Tua Tagovailoa has stated that his Dolphin QB is a more accurate passer than Mahomes who has proven himself to be the best. “I’ve had a chance to see Tua (Tagovailoa) throw the ball, to myself, but… he’s that dude bro, Like, what a lot of people don’t know, like, I’m not just sitting just saying this because he’s my quarterback now…like, I’m not trying to get more targets right now,” Tyreek said on the It Needed To Be Said podcast with agent Drew Rosenhaus. “What I’m trying to say is Tua is that deal, bro, he has a heck of an arm, he’s accurate, he can throw the deep ball, and he actually goes through his reads, where people are like on Twitter like saying, ‘Oh, he doesn’t go through his reads.’ Man, this dude is that dude.”

Stephen A. Smith was among the people who were irked by Hill’s absurd claim and bashed him on his show. “Tua Tagovailoa you just joined. Y’all ain’t even in preseason yet. So, which means the only thing you’ve done was catch passes from running routes in sprint practice at the very least. I mean that’s all you got to go on,” Smith said. “And that you’re tryna to tell me is comparable to the numbers you put up with Patrick Mahomes. Recognizing the fact that Patrick Mahomes is the baddest brother on the planet right now as a QB okay. And you’re gonna trynna tell me a dude you ain’t never even played a preseason game with is more accurate than Patrick Mahomes. If you are really really serious about that sorry I’m gonna say this on national television ‘Stay off the weeeeeeeeeeed'”

Let’s see how Tyreek Hill and his “more accurate passer” fare in the 2022 season.
