This offseason has seen a lot of craziness. Quarterbacks getting paid a buttload of money, wide receivers are being paid QB-like money and teams are giving all they can to acquire str players and getting bumped up in the upcoming draft in Las Vegas.

Green Bay Packers paid a hefty amount to keep 4x MVP quarterback Aaron Rodgers from throwing another fit and leaving the Packers. This move made Rodgers the highest-paid QB in the history of the NFL. QBs that top the list for being the highest-paid players are Mahomes, Allen, and Watson among others.

Quarterbacks are being paid over $40 million per year

The quarterback position is undoubtedly the most important in the sport and no team wants to get stuck with a spotty player. So, teams have been paying in upwards of $30 million to generational talents that will lead them to the Super Bowl. The Packers extended Aaron Rodgers to a three-year contract that pays $50.3 million per year making him the highest-paid QB in the league. Prior to the 2022 season, Chiefs’ QB Patrick Mahomes held the record and was being paid $45 million per year.

These highest-paid QBs have won a total of 2 Super Bowls which is less than the number of Super Bowls Tom Brady has lost in his career (three). Brady simply used the ‘eyes wide open’ emoji and tagged Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and Josh Allen. Even though Brady didn’t mention any specific reason for tagging these stars, one can only assume that he learned about their paycheck and was left speechless. Despite being the greatest QB there ever was in the NFL, Tom Brady has never asked teams to make him the highest-paid player. Rather he’s known to make cutbacks so that his team can sign talented players to the roster that will eventually help him win the Super Bowl.
