The Los Angeles Rams and Cincinnati Bengals meet in Super Bowl LVI and they are delivering a super performance as they go at it for the Lombardi Trophy. It was obvious prior to the season that the Rams were going all-in for the Super Bowl this season when they traded for Matthew Stafford, but even more so when they signed Odell Beckham Jr.
Since bringing in OBJ, he’s brought in 27 receptions for 305 yards and 5 touchdowns. But, where his real impact has been felt is in the postseason, especially the NFC Championship where he had 9 catches for 113 yards.
With all the attention that goes to triple-crown winner Cooper Kupp, Odell Beckham Jr. finds himself in favorable matchups quite a lot and the Super Bowl was no different. he already brought the Rams points and was looking to do more damage but midway through the 2nd quarter he was forced to leave the game due to a non-contact knee injury.

As of now, the severity of the injury can only be speculated about but it is the same knee that Odell Beckham Jr. tore his ACL in last season. As soon as he went down he was in significant pain and had to be helped off the field.
Odell Beckham Jr. is one of the most popular players in the NFL and the majority of neutrals just want to see him succeed in the brightest spot so it’s not too surprising to see so many fans torn up about the injury.
With a return seemingly very unlikely for Odell Beckham Jr. at this point, the Rams offense must find a way to adapt in the second half and utilize Cooper Kupp and the run game as much as possible. The Bengals defense will have one less problem to worry about which could be just what they need to stay in this game.
