“Tom Brady didn’t shake my hand because…,” Ryan Fitzpatrick flaunts his favourite NFL moment in 17-year career
Ryan Fitzpatrick is probably one of the most improbable names you’d think who has defeated the legendary quarterback Tom Brady in the NFL. However that’s where sport surprises us all, the quarterback who has played for the most number of teams in the NFL has defeated Brady on not one, but two occasions.
Ryan Fitzpatrick defeated Brady in 2011 while his stay with the Buffalo Bills, but failed to shake hands with the great man, as is generally the case between two opposition teams after the match is over. It is a show of mutual admiration between the two sets of players, but Brady did not acknowledge the quarterback that time.

Ryan Fitzpatrick however did not give up on his hope of shaking the hands of NFL’s most sought-after quarterback and pounced on the second opportunity he received later on in his career.
This also became Fitzpatrick’s most favourite moment in his entire 17-year career, during which he has hopped 16 teams. The 37-year old shook hands with Tom Brady during the second time after chasing him down for about 50 yards.
“Beating Tom Brady, after the first time, because after the first time he didn’t shake my hand,” Fitzpatrick said during his appearance on the ESPN show America’s Caddie. “I was on the Jets [for the second win, four years later], and I had to chase him down on the 50-yard line.”
“Apparently, he hates losing more than everybody else hates losing,” Fitzpatrick said. “When he does lose, I want a handshake.”
