“What would I do?”: When Tom Brady revealed why he is scared about his post-retirement life
Drew Bledsoe and Tom Brady
Tom Brady, what a legend, what a career. Regarded as one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, Tom has achieved a lot in his illustrious career. The QB spent two decades with the Patriots and completely changed the fortune of the side before joining the Bucs where he won another Super Bowl title.
Brady’s stats are just too good to be true. Completions, touchdown passes, or games started, passing yards, the man has got superb numbers in each category. Even at 44 years of age, Tom was nothing short of sensational, which is why the world was shocked when he announced his retirement from the game.
“What intimidates me the most is the end of my playing career”: Tom Brady
Brady stated that he wants to focus more on his wife and kids when he decided to call in quits. However, back in 2005, when Brady was asked about the thing that intimidates him the most, the star QB had claimed that he is very fearful about what he’ll do after his playing days are over.
“What intimidates me the most is the end of my playing career. I guess I have done this for so long. I am always trying to figure out ways to have a day filled with things that I like to do and when I am playing football for 7 months out of the year, it’s easy,” he had said.
He has claimed that as long as you are playing, you are focused but as soon as you are done, you do not have 80,000 people screaming your name. “I have heard a lot about astronauts that go to the moon and come back and they are so depressed because there is nothing they can do in their lives that can make them feel that, that does,” Brady had added.
Indeed, leaving the sport to which you have dedicated all your life is extremely difficult. Especially for someone like Brady who has ruled the game for such a long time. It’ll be interesting to see if Brady decided to make a comeback on the field in the next season.
