“Scummy”, Tom Brady criticized for practicing while fellow teammate Cameron Brate suffered a crushing injury
Tom Brady heavily criticized for practicing while fellow teammate Cameron Brate was severely injured
Tom Brady is getting a lot of flak on Twitter after a video was taken of him practicing throws while one of his teammates was severely injured.
Buccaneers’ tight end Cameron Brate had to be carried off the field in the third quarter of Sunday night’s Buccaneers-Steelers game after suffering what seemed to be a serious head/neck injury. He sustained the injury at the end of the quarter after catching a pass from Brady.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who currently have a middling record of 3-3, appear to be experiencing some bad luck right now. Sunday night’s game didn’t go in Brady’s favor either, as he managed to only complete 25 of 40 passes for 243 yards and a touchdown. With the offense already underperforming, this injury couldn’t have come at a worse time.
“We didn’t earn it,” Tom Brady says Bucs are not playing to their potential
In the video, Brady can be seen practicing with a Bucs assistant, while the rest of the time is spent circled around Brate, waiting for him to be carted off the field.
It didn’t take long for many fans to start criticizing Brady for his “insensitivity” toward the injured tight end, with some labeling him “self-centered” and “arrogant,” while others are even claiming that actions like this are what led to his reported separation from model Gisele Bündchen.
Though, there are some fans who don’t think it’s a big deal.
Despite the fact that everyone anticipated the Buccaneers to steamroll the Steelers, they suffered a demoralizing loss. After the game, Brady reacted to his team’s lackluster performance by stating, “We didn’t earn it,” and claimed the Bucs haven’t been playing to their potential for six weeks, which cost them the defeat of the Steelers.
Brady also said, “I think we’re all playing less than what we’re capable of, and we’ve all got to look at ourselves in the mirror and figure out why.” As well as that, the time has to do a better job.
The football season is far from over; let’s see whether Brady and the Buccaneers can turn things around for themselves.
