Tom Brady is arguably the greatest player in the history of the NFL. The 45-year old quarterback has won it all during his esteemed career and decided to call it quits from the sport this February after ending his 22nd season with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

However, he made a return from his retirement decision only 40 days later and will once again play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this season. However, according to numerous reports he was all set to join the Miami Dolphins.

According to reputed sources, the Dolphins were planning on making him minority owner and then adding him to their roster as well for the 23rd season.

According to NBC Sports’ Mike Florio, the Dolphins planned to pursue a Sean Payton/Tom Brady package deal in February. The franchise approached the Saints regarding the prospect of employing Payton, according to a source close to the team. With Brady, the Dolphins unofficially concede that they took up the possibility of him being a minority owner of the organization.

Despite the move failing through this season, Tom Brady will continue to be in the news as a potential addition for the Miami Dolphins next season. Pat McAfee said that the move fell through only because of the suit filed by their former coach Brian Flores alleging them of racism within the franchise.
